Amtrak’s deadly collision with a CSX train could have been prevented. The NTSB is currently investigating this accident.  Two people have been killed in the train accident and more than 100 passengers were injured when the Amtrak train collided with a CSX freight train. Hunt for Suspect Continues After Hit-and-Run Accident Police in Horry County are looking for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured one individual on Tuesday, February 23. The accident occurred in Myrtle Beach, when the suspect failed to yield for a vehicle at an intersection and collided with it. After the accident, the suspect fled the scene. Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident  A hit-and-run accident resulted in the death of a bicyclist in Myrtle Beach on February 2, 2016. 54-year-old Laurence Flanegan struck the bicyclist with his Toyota SUV on Holmestown Road, fleeing the scene. The bicyclist, who was identified as 55-year-old Vincent Gimeno, was transported to Grand Strand Medical Center following the accident, but died from traumatic injuries resulting from the crash.
