How Ultra-Processed Foods Harm Children

Children are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of ultra-processed foods, as recent studies have proven. The high levels of added sugars, unhealthy fats, and artificial additives can lead to several serious health conditions in those under the age of 18, even when they have no previous family history of the conditions.

Beyond dental issues, the study also reinforces the link between ultra-processed foods and metabolic disorders, chronic inflammation, and fatty liver disease.
